Kubernetes offers Secrets as a clean abstraction to store sensitive information separate from deployment config, and apply access controls to it. Now let’s add Kubernetes into the mix as well. Passwords are floating around in config files, and it’s no exception to find plain-text credentials in a Git repository somewhere. Infrastructure and systems are even worse. Larger enterprises, however, are often still struggling here and you’ll find password-protected Excel sheets, KeePass files and loads of shadow IT floating around. And nowadays most people have some sort of password manager, whether it be integrated in their operating system or browser, or a dedicated password management tool like 1Password or LastPass. And also: please give me a means to make all this secure behaviour easy for me. Use passwords that are difficult to guess. Don’t write down your passwords on sticky notes. In this blog I’ll show you how to set it up.ĭon’t use the same password twice. Sounds good? According to 1Password this is even enterprise-ready. Tomatoes will likely be done the fastest at about 4 minutes but use your judgment.) Place grilled veggies on a plate, lined with a paper towel and allow to cool slightly. I find it easiest to do the same veggies together. ( Note Vegetables should be almost cooked through, with grill/char marks but not burned, so keep an eye on them. Place the vegetables in a single layer on the hot grill pan (you may have to do this in batches and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes, turning over once midway through cooking time. Place cut veggies on a plate or shallow bowl and drizzle remaining garlic-infused oil over them, gently tossing to coat and seasoning with sea salt. Place a large grill pan over medium-high heat and allow to get hot. Grilling Ratatouille Vegetables: Slice zucchini vertically into 1/2-3/4-inch planks, peel and slice thickly slice onion, stem, seed and slice bell pepper into thick strips (as flat as you can get), and slice Roma tomatoes in half. Brush both slides of slices generously with olive oil and sprinkle with a bit of salt. Discard any liquid, lightly rinse slices and pat dry-gently pressing any excess water out. Sprinkle both sides of each slice with salt and place in a colander over a plate or bowl and let sit for at least 30 minutes while you grill the other veggies. Make Ahead Prep: Slice eggplant into 3/4-inch slices-you should hopefully get about 8 total. Sun-Dried Tomato & Elderflower Cashew Creme ( recipe below) I was going to add fresh basil but forgot to get some, so I just used thinly-sliced sorrel leaves for a garnish.ġ/2 cup garlic-infused oil ( I used garlic macadamia nut oil) + more as neededġ small bunch baby arugula, lettuce, or other micro green, and/or sorrel or basil leaves ( I used sorrel) + additional sorrel or basil, cut into long thin strips ( chiffonade) for garnish. Since it's summer and grilling in on the mind, I decided to grill the eggplant slices and ratatouille vegetables ( mostly locally-grown) in garlic-infused oil and place it all on a bed of greens -in this case I came across some locally-grown sorrel that I don't come across often and have not used much and I thought its lemony tang would be nice. Liqueur that I am working through, I decided to put it into a sun-dried tomato cashew creme sauce ( a vegan nod to the mousse/foam with the cod), brightened with lemon juice and layer it with stacks of eggplant slices. Since I don't have access to readily available elderflower, and I have a large bottle of the Grilled Eggplant and Ratatouille with Sun- Dried Tomato & Elderflower Cashew Creme There was the ratatouille that was served with the shrimp and sweet and sour sauce, but appeared to be not quite as stewed as a typical ratatouille ( see center photo of collage), and the over-arching theme of Ligurian dishes which seem to be all about fresh and local produce. My inspiration actually is a mashup of several scenes and dishes-it is, I confess, a bit ADHD in nature and also a bit unwieldy to eat, but boy did it end up surprising and delighting me with the taste! So, inspirations-the eggplant and elderflower for sure, the leghorn-style cod-mainly its pinkish-red cloud of mousse-like foam that I decided must have tomato in it since research showed tomatoes to be a key ingredient in the dish, named for Livorno-Leghorn in English, a port city on the Ligurian sea on the Western coast of Tuscany. There was probably much more that I didn't catch in there. Some things I saw and wrote down: a cake, eggplant with elderflower, Leghorn cod, Russian salad ( that seemed to be wrapped and a torch taken to it), small tarts of some sort, luncheon dishes of egg yolk, pea cream and zucchini flowers, prawns with ratatouille and sweet and sour sauce ( apparently orgasmic!), mixed fish with crunchy vegetables, Ukha-a Russian soup with a clear saffron broth (v ery integral to the story and mentioned a few times), a mention of ' Ligurian dishes,' raspberries, lots of fresh vegetables and fruit sitting around, a garden with what looked like berries/currents?, clover, and grapes-or at least grape leaves, coffee drinks and what looked like a box of macarons. It's not always easy to catch the food, or at least the details in the film. These cookies track visitors across websites and collect information to provide customized ads. I recommended the charcoal shampoo in another video. I discovered these pure clean hair, reset shampoos from them, and i have been really impressed with them. Shampoo is by garnier fructis, you know a while ago. You want to use a clarifying shampoo once a week, so an alternative to the wonderful anti residue. It also can help remove build up from the scalp that would otherwise lead to scalp itch and its, not a shampoo youre going to be using every day at most. Its being de seed, sad to hear clarifying shampoos differ from your everyday shampoo and that they tend to be a lot stronger as far as their surfactant formulation, theyre, intended to strip away actually build up uh from products or hard water build up or if you go In a pool – and you get chlorine in your hair, you know it could turn your hair green. A few years ago i made a video on the utility of incorporating a clarifying shampoo into your hair care routine, and in that video i mentioned, the anti residue shampoo is a great option. They are discontinuing the anti residue shampoo. A more powerful message is to encourage people of color to examine the sites I’ve mentioned." It’s also important to get a skin check at least once a year by a dermatologist who is trained at spotting early signs of skin cancer across skin tones.I discovered they are discontinuing a ton of products, many of which are long standing favorites of mine that i have recommended in several videos. "People with skin of color often check sun-exposed sites because of this misunderstanding of risk. The late diagnosis is because people do not routinely check the aforementioned places on the body, says Dr. A study cited by the Skin Cancer Foundation found the five-year survival rate for melanoma among Black patients is 67% vs 92% for white patients. In patients with dark skin, skin cancer often takes longer to be diagnosed, and late-stage diagnosis can mean a worse prognosis. Derrick Phillips, consultant dermatologist and British Skin Foundation spokesperson, says that while melanoma skin cancer is uncommon in Black skin, when it does occur, it often affects sites that are not exposed to the sun, such as the soles of feet, palms or beneath nails. So, you can start writing your queries to a database right away. They are already attached to your data source, unlike usual SQL files. Query consoles are SQL files in which you can compose and execute SQL statements. Also, along with the data source, DataGrip creates a query console. The data source is presented as a tree with nodes. Also, to create a database, you can drag an SQLite DB file to the Database Explorer.Īs the data source is ready, you will see it in the Database Explorer. To connect to an existing SQLite database, specify a file path to the database file in the File field. To learn how to work with database objects in DataGrip, see Database objects. To write and run queries, open the default query console by clicking the data source and pressing F4. To ensure that the connection to the data source is successful, click the Test Connection link. For more information about creating a database connection with your driver, see Add a user driver to an existing connection. You can specify your drivers for the data source if you do not want to download the provided drivers. The IDE does not include bundled drivers in order to have a smaller size of the installation package and to keep driver versions up-to-date for each IDE version. As you click this link, DataGrip downloads drivers that are required to interact with a database. On the Data Sources tab in the Data Sources and Drivers dialog, click the Add icon ( ) and select SQLite.Ĭheck if there is a Download missing driver files link at the bottom of the data source settings area. In the Database Explorer ( View | Tool Windows | Database Explorer), click the Data Source Properties icon. You can open data source properties by using one of the following options: If you want to connect to other database management systems (DBMS), refer to Create connection. The file default name is identifier.sqlite but you can change it. A database that is created on one machine can be copied and used on a different machine with a different architecture. It means that you need to install and configure them before creating a connection.Ī database in SQLite is a single disk file. In this tutorial, we will use SQLite because, for other databases, you need a running instance of the database. Opening the database explorerĮxpand Files and Database Explorer tool windows by clicking their tabs.ĭepending on a database vendor (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), you need to create a corresponding data source connection. Tool windows provide access to development tasks: viewing your database structure, running and debugging your application, integration with version control systems and other external tools, code analysis, search, navigation, and so on. You can rearrange and even detach them to use as separate windows, for example, on another monitor. Tool windows are tabs that are attached to the bottom and sides of the IDE window. In the Enter new project name field, type the name of your project.Īfter the project is created and opened, you will see an IDE interface with all tool windows hidden. The frequency of a tuning fork depends on its dimensions and the material from which is made: f = 1 2 π l 2 A E ρ Well-known manufacturers of tuning forks include Ragg and John Walker, both of Sheffield, England.Ĭalculation of frequency Standard tuning forks are available for all the musical pitches within the central octave of the piano, and other pitches. Tuning forks used by orchestras between 17 mostly had a frequency of A = 423.5 Hz, although there were many forks and many slightly different pitches. It is the pitch of the violin's second string, the first string of the viola, and an octave above the first string of the cello, all played open. This is the standard concert pitch, used as tuning note by some orchestras. The most common tuning fork sounds the note of A = 440 Hz. Filing the ends of the prongs raises the pitch, while filing the inside of the base of the prongs lowers it. If a sound absorbing sheet is slid in between the prongs of a vibrating fork, reducing the waves reaching the ear from one prong, the volume heard will actually increase, due to a reduction of this cancellation.Ĭommercial tuning forks are normally tuned to the correct pitch at the factory, but they can be retuned by filing material off the prongs. The reason for this is that the sound waves produced by each fork prong are 180° out of phase with the other, so at a distance from the fork they interfere and largely cancel each other out. Without the resonator (which may be as simple as a table top to which the handle is pressed), the sound is very faint. The handle motion is small, allowing the fork to be held by the handle without damping the vibration, but it allows the handle to transmit the vibration to a resonator (like the hollow rectangular box often used), which amplifies the sound of the fork. There is a node (point of no vibration) at the base of each prong. It is easier to tune other instruments with this pure tone, when listening to compare with the tone of each other instrument.Īnother reason for using the fork shape is that, when it vibrates in its principal mode, the handle vibrates up and down as the prongs move apart and together. So when the fork is struck, little of the energy goes into the overtone modes they also die out correspondingly faster, leaving the fundamental. By comparison, the first overtone of a vibrating string is only one octave above the fundamental. The reason for this is that the frequency of the first overtone is about 5 2/2 2 = 25/4 = 6¼ times the fundamental (about 2½ octaves above it). This is not the case with other resonators. Most of the vibrational energy is at the fundamental frequency, with very few overtones ( harmonics). The fork shape produces a very pure tone. He was the Sergeant Trumpeter to the court, who had musical parts written for him by the composers George Frideric Handel and Henry Purcell. The tuning fork was invented in 1711 by British musician John Shore.
